ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Fernando Salas has avoided salary arbitration with the Los Angeles Angels, agreeing to a $2.4 million, one-year contract.
A 30-year-old right-hander, Salas was 4-2 with a 4.24 ERA last year, striking out 74 in 63 2-3 innings. He earned $1.37 million.
Right-hander Garrett Richards and outfielder Kole Calhoun remained in arbitration and can exchange figures with the Angels on Friday.
