In tonight's GOP debate in South Carolina, Trump disagreed and called it "a very insulting statement that Ted made." Trump invoked the Sept. 11 attacks and the way New Yorkers came together afterward.
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Police say five terrorists and two civilians were killed and 10 people were injured in the brazen attacks in Indonesia's capital on Thursday. The attacks in Jakarta followed several warnings in recent weeks by police that Islamic militants were planning something big. It's still unclear if any perpetrators remain at large.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Sikh advocacy group representing a California bus driver who was attacked in November say police officers didn't recognize the assault as a hate crime. According to an attorney with the Sikh Coalition, who also represents the victim, the attacker beat the man while saying he was a terrorist and a suicide bomber and had hijacked the bus. The driver was hospitalized.

(AP) — Experts agree that the three mystery winners of the world-record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot should talk seriously with experts in tax law, financial planning, privacy, security and other safeguards before they reveal their identity to the public. The lucky trio bought their tickets Munford, Tennessee; Chino Hills; California and Melbourne Beach, Florida.
BLAINE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh says the messages sent to him by a group of first-graders after he missed a short field goal that would've won a playoff game for the Vikings were so touching that he visited the kids at the suburban Minneapolis school. He says he'll "cherish ... forever" the letters the students wrote to him during a lesson on empathy.
