NEWARK, Del. (AP) — William Adala Moto and John Davis scored 22 points apiece to lift Towson to a 79-77 win over Delaware on Thursday night.

In a close game, Towson (12-6, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association) retook the lead for good with an 11-2 burst sparked by Mike Morsell's back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 70-64 with 1:20 left.

Delaware (5-11, 0-5)) got 10 points from Kory Holden in the final 23 seconds but the Tigers hung on from the foul line.

Moto finished 6 of 12 from the floor, 8 of 11 from the line and hauled in 15 rebounds. Byron Hawkins added 14 points and Morsell had 11 for Towson, which had 17 assists on 23-for-63 shooting (37 percent) from the floor.

Holden led Delaware with 29 points. Marvin King-Davis added 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Blue Hens, Cazmon Hayes had 14 points and Anthony Mosley 11.
