GAINSVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Tiaria Griffin scored 23 points, Halle Washington had 17 and Georgia made 9 of 12 free throws in the final minute to upset No. 20 Florida 71-61 on Thursday night.

Down by 21 late in the third quarter, Florida had an 11-4 run to close it to 50-36. The Gators got within seven with 5:55 to play but Washington and Pachis Roberts had back-to-back baskets for the Bulldogs. It got to five with 1:26 to play but Washington answered again and in the final minute, Georgia made their free throws with Griffin going 6 of 8.

Georgia (13-4, 1-3 SEC) made 8 of 15 shots in the third quarter while the Gators (14-3, 2-2) were 4 of 19.

Roberts added 11 points and Shacobia Barbee 10 points for the Bulldogs, who outrebounded Florida 47-43.

Cassie Peoples led Florida with 15 points and Ronni Williams had 12 and nine rebounds.
