AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn left tackle Shon Coleman says he's leaving school early to enter the NFL draft.
Coleman announced his intentions Wednesday on Twitter, saying "it was a very hard decision." The 6-foot-6, 313-pound cancer survivor started 25 games over the past two seasons.
Coleman was diagnosed with leukemia in spring of 2010 after signing with Auburn. He was cleared by doctors for limited participation in Auburn's spring practice two years later, but didn't play that season. He had been granted an extra year of eligibility from the NCAA.
