LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Jalen Moore scored 20 points with six assists, Chris Smith added 19 points, and Utah State beat Air Force 79-60 Tuesday night for the Falcons' third-straight loss.
Shane Rector scored 13 points and Julion Pearre 12 for the Aggies (10-6, 2-3 Mountain West Conference), who outrebounded the Falcons 41-32 and outscored them 32-20 in the paint.
Leading by eight at halftime, the Aggies scored 10 straight points as the Falcons were scoreless for nearly 2 ½ minutes, and pulled ahead 66-41 for their biggest lead of the game with 9:05 to play.
Smith tied it at 24 with a layup in the first half, sparking a 12-2 run, and the Aggies were up 36-28 at halftime, led by Smith with 12 points.
Moore has scored in double digits in each of his last 15 conference games.
Zach Moer scored 12 points for the Falcons (10-7, 1-3) and Zach Kocur added 11 before fouling out.
