ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan guard Caris LeVert is sitting out again against No. 3 Maryland with a lower left leg injury.
LeVert, Michigan's top scorer, did not suit up and missed his third straight game Tuesday night. The 6-foot-7 senior is averaging 17.6 points and shooting 45 percent from 3-point range.
LeVert took the court with his teammates before the game and stood near midcourt, but did not participate in warmups.
The matchup with Maryland is part of a tough three-game stretch for the Wolverines. With LeVert out, Michigan lost 87-70 at Purdue last Thursday. After facing Maryland, the Wolverines play at No. 16 Iowa on Sunday.
