WASHINGTON (AP) — The president of the Family Research Council has delivered his second annual State of the Family address.

On the eve of President Obama's annual address, Tony Perkins denounced national policies that he said have undermined families.

In a webcast speech to a Washington audience that included Kentucky clerk Kim Davis and others who have refused to accept same-sex marriage, Perkins said, "I would encourage officials all across this country to follow their example."

This election year, Perkins urged Christians to "pray, organize, donate, speak to your neighbors, proclaim truth and your views boldly," and vote.
