GLENDALE, Arizona. (AP) — Clemson and Alabama are set to face off this evening in the College Football Championship game in Glendale, Arizona. By now you are probably aware that Clemson is the top-ranked team in the nation while Alabama is No. 2. The last time these schools met in football was 2008 when the Crimson Tide won 34-10.

VANCOUVER (AP) — The Florida Panthers have won 12 straight. This evening the Atlantic Division leading team is in Vancouver for a game with the Canucks. The 12-game streak is the longest in franchise history.

TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Maple Leafs expect to not have James van Riemsdyk (van-REEMZ'-dyk) for at least six weeks. The left wing has a non-displaced fracture in his left foot. He has 29 points in 40 games this season.

UNDATED (AP) — Kansas and Oklahoma remained the top two teams in this week's Associated Press men's basketball poll. The Jayhawks, who beat the Sooners in triple overtime last week, received 63 of the 65 first-place votes. Along with Oklahoma getting one of the first place votes, the remaining vote went to fourth-ranked Michigan State.

UNDATED (AP) — Once again there has been no change at the top of the AP's women's basketball poll. After winning three games last week, Connecticut is still No. 1 with South Carolina, Notre Dame, Texas and Ohio State rounding out the top-5.
