CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A man has died after a shooting in north Carson City.
The Carson City Sheriff's Office reports that the victim arrived at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the stomach shortly after the sheriff's office received reports of shots fired overnight Monday.
The victim was in critical condition and was transported to Renown Medical Center in Reno by Care Flight. He was pronounced dead around 2 a.m.
Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide resulting from a drug transaction.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim.
