RENO, Nev. (AP) — More than 2,000 people gathered for a Donald Trump rally in downtown Reno about six weeks before Nevada's Republican presidential caucuses. One-third or more of the people entering the Reno Ballroom yesterday afternoon were wearing buttons or carrying flags indicating their allegiance to Trump. But many are still making up their minds about whether to back the GOP front-runner. The billionaire real estate magnate drew a crowd of about 4,000 at a rally at a hotel casino in neighboring Sparks in October.

DENVER (AP) — Republicans are widely condemning an attempt by armed ranchers in Oregon to force the federal government to return western lands to local communities. But the GOP has grown more supportive of the ranchers' goal, if not their tactics. Republican presidential candidates are increasingly arguing that the federal government owns too much of the West's land. The Republican National Committee passed a resolution calling for the return of federal western land to states.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — One person is dead after a vehicle hit a semi-truck on I-15 in the Las Vegas area. KVVU-TV reports that a spokeswoman with the Nevada Highway Patrol says a Cadillac rear-ended the moving semi. The impact killed the driver of the Cadillac. The crash shut down southbound lanes of I-15 for several hours.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police are searching for several male suspects in a home invasion. Authorities say the alleged home invasion took place Saturday night near Desert Inn and Fort Apache roads. Residents at the home say they were not allowed to leave as the burglary took place.
