24 men scheduled to graduate from state firefighting academy

STOW, Mass. (AP) — Twenty-four men from 12 communities are scheduled to graduate from the state firefighting academy.

State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Director George Kramlinger will present certificates of completion to members of the Career Recruit Firefighter Training Class 238 in a graduation ceremony on Friday.

The ceremony will take place at the Department of Fire Services in Stow. Auburn Fire Chief Stephen Coleman is scheduled to be the guest speaker.

The graduates represent fire departments in Auburn, Bedford, Bridgewater, Fairhaven, Maynard, Peabody, Revere, Scituate, Somerville, Tewksbury, Walpole and Watertown.
