MEXICO CITY (AP) — A Mexican official says drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman's interest in seeing a movie made of his life was partly responsible for his latest undoing. The authorities say they were able to track Guzman thanks to a secret interview with U.S. actor Sean Penn. Mexico is also signaling more of a willingness to extradite Guzman, who has twice escaped Mexican prisons. An extradition to the U.S. would still take time to work its way through Mexican courts.

Saturday's winning numbers were: 16-19-32-34-57 and the Powerball number 13.

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis' first book welcomes repentant sinners over self-righteous moralizers. Keeping to pastoral themes of love and compassion the book, "The Name of God Is Mercy," condemns what Francis calls the "scholars of law" — the doctrinaire-minded rigorists who throughout the history of the church have challenged Jesus' message of unconditional love and mercy for even the most wretched of sinners. It's being published this week in 86 countries.
