CINCINNATI (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers blew a 15-point, fourth-quarter lead before Chris Boswell hit a 35-yard field goal with 14 seconds left to give Pittsburgh an 18-16 triumph over the Bengals in Cincinnati in the AFC wild-card game. Boswell's fourth field goal of the night was set up by Jeremy Hill's fumble with 1:23 remaining, five completions by Ben Roethlisberger (RAHTH'-lis-bur-gur) and 15-yard penalties on Vontaze Burfict and Adam Jones. The flags ruined what was a remarkable comeback by the Bengals after Roethlisberger had to leave the game with a right shoulder injury.

HOUSTON (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs have advanced to the AFC divisional playoffs for the first time in 21 years by silencing the Texans 30-0 in Houston. Knile (nyl) Davis put the Chiefs ahead by returning the opening kickoff 106 yards, the second-longest kickoff return TD in postseason history. The Chiefs made life miserable for Brian Hoyer, who fumbled once and threw three of his career-high four interceptions before halftime.

MIAMI (AP) — Adam Gase (gays) has become the Miami Dolphins' ninth head coach since 2004 as the team tries to end a seven-year playoff drought. The 37-year-old Gase becomes the youngest NFL head coach and takes over a team that went 6-10 this season. He spent this season as the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator after serving in the same capacity with Denver.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim (BAY'-hym) returned to the sideline after serving a nine-game suspension for NCAA violations, but sixth-ranked North Carolina spoiled the homecoming with an 84-73 win against the Orange. Isaiah Hicks dropped in 21 points, while Brice Johnson and Justin Jackson both had 16 points for the 15-2 Tar Heels. Boeheim's suspension ended at midnight Tuesday, less than two hours after his Orange lost by one to Clemson in overtime.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — The Golden State Warriors are an NBA-best 35-2 after they hit 19 of their 37 3-point attempts in a 128-116 triumph at Sacramento. Stephen (STEH'-fehn) Curry again led the Warriors' long-range assault but hitting 8 of 14 from downtown and finishing with a game-high 38 points, 11 assists and six rebounds. Draymond Green was 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and delivered 25 points and nine rebounds in the Warriors' sixth straight win.
