HOUSTON (AP) — Orlando Coleman scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds as Texas Southern notched its third-straight conference win, rolling to a 64-38 victory over Prairie View on Saturday night.
Coleman was 5 of 11 including two from distance for the Tigers (4-11, 3-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Chris Thomas added nine points and nine rebounds, David Blanks had nine points and eight rebounds, Malcolm Riley had nine points and five rebounds and Derrick Griffin had eight points and nine rebounds. Texas Southern averaged 44.6 percent shooting from the field, 58.8 percent from the line and had a 46-26 rebounding edge over Prairie View.
Texas Southern led 30-19 at the break and cruised in the second half to the win.
Jayrn Johnson scored 16 points off the bench for the Panthers (1-14, 1-2).
