PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Quenton DeCosey scored 24 points, Josh Brown had 12 points and eight assists, and Temple used a pair of runs in the second half to put away East Carolina 78-60 Saturday night.
DeCosey was 5-of-8 on 3-pointers for Temple (8-6, 3-1 American Athletic), which has won four of five, including two on the road against Top-25 opponents.
East Carolina (8-8, 0-3) led 38-33 at the half, but Temple hit three 3s out of the break and the Owls took their first lead since 5-4 with 17:49 left in the first half.
Tied 50-all with 11:07 remaining, DeCosey made one of two free throws to regain the lead for Temple, and a 3-point play from Obi Enechionyia sparked a 21-4 run that spanned seven minutes and put the game out of reach.
