RUSTON, La. (AP) — Dayon Griffin made 7 of 8 from 3-point range with a career-high 28 points, Alex Hamilton added 27 and Louisiana Tech beat Charlotte 93-90 in overtime Saturday night.
Griffin made 10 of 11 from the field and the Bulldogs (13-3, 2-1 Conference USA) shot 14 of 24 from 3-point range and 57.4 percent overall.
Joseph Uchebo had 18 points and a career-high 20 rebounds, Jon Davis scored a career-high 24 and Braxton Ogbueze had 22 for Charlotte (4-11, 1-2). Ogbueze made 6 of 13 3-point attempts, but the rest of 49ers only 3 of 19.
Ogbueze's 3 with 11 seconds left in overtime pulled Charlotte within 91-90. Alex Hamilton made two free throws with nine seconds left and Charlotte missed a pair of 3-point attempts before time expired.
Charlotte rallied to force overtime from a 78-71 deficit with 4:37 left in regulation. Davis' layup tied it with 17 seconds left.
