West Jordan — Two people were transported to the hospital Saturday night after getting in a car crash that closed Mountain View Corridor, officials said.

Two cars were traveling southbound on Mountain View Corridor and one was traveling westbound on 9000 South when they collided, according to West Jordan police officer Mike Fullwood.

Two people were transported to the hospital, one with possible injuries, and one with minor injuries, Fullwood said.

The crash is still under investigation, and no citations were given as of Saturday night. Investigators are still trying to determine if drugs, alcohol or speed were a factor in the incident.

Southbound and westbound lanes were temporarily closed at 9000 South following the crash, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Lanes opened around 8 p.m.

More details will be posted when they become available.
