CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming has been ranked in the top 10 for K-12 education quality by Education Week.
The publication's annual Quality Counts 2016 report ranked Wyoming eighth in the nation and gave the state an overall score of 80.2 out of 100 and a grade of B-minus.
That's down slightly from 2015 when the state also received a B-minus with 80.6 points and placed seventh in the nation.
The Education Week report assesses states in three areas: chance for success, K-12 achievement and school finance.
Wyoming ranks among the top in the nation in terms of spending on K-12 schools.
