HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — More than 100,000 people have enrolled in health insurance plans during the latest open enrollment period for Connecticut's health insurance marketplace.
Access Health CT had signed up 104,363 people as of Jan. 5.
Open enrollment runs until Jan. 31. Access Health officials say they expect to enroll about 105,000 to 115,000 people during this enrollment period.
Access Health CT CEO Jim Wadleigh says there's still plenty of time for people to call the Access Health's call center, stop by an enrollment center or visit the website to shop for coverage.
Those who enroll before Jan. 15 will have coverage effective Feb. 1. Those who sign up by Jan. 31 will have coverage effective March 1.
This marks the third year of the federal Affordable Care Act.
