FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) — A Layton man accused of beating a 2-year-old boy to death over potty training has been ordered to stand trial on aggravated murder and child abuse charges. The Standard-Examiner in Ogden reports that a judge ruled yesterday after hearing evidence against Joshua Schoenenberger. Authorities say he stomped on and dropped James "JJ" Sieger after the boy used his diaper instead of the toilet.

CENTERVILLE, Utah (AP) — Authorities have arrested a 17-year-old who they say led officers on a high-speed chase in a stolen car before crashing the vehicle in Centerville. KSL-TV reports that police say an officer had recognized the vehicle was stolen and tried to stop the car, but the teen ran a red light and sped off. The teen eventually crashed near a trailhead.
