BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A former teacher's aide at a school for troubled youths in Bennington was sentenced to serve two to 15 years behind bars for having sexual contact with a boy younger than 16.
The Rutland Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1RnpvIq ) Alexandra Fusco pleaded guilty Tuesday to a felony count of lewd and lascivious contact with a child and providing false information to police in order to implicate another person, a misdemeanor.
Fusco was initially arraigned in August 2014 for alleged sexual contact with a boy at The Bennington School. The state dismissed those charges on Tuesday. The Bennington School fired the 26-year-old in October 2013.
Prosecutors say the charges Fusco admitted to involved sexual contact with a different boy she met while working at a state facility for placing juveniles.
