CLEVELAND (AP) — Turner Botz sank four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead Green Bay to an 87-67 win over Cleveland State on Thursday night.
Carrington Love added 16 points and Jordan Fouse had 14 for Green Bay (10-5, 3-0 Horizon), which shot 52 percent from the field with 20 assists to win its fourth straight. Botz was 7 of 12 from the floor and 4 of 5 from long range.
Cleveland State (5-11, 0-3) opened strong, scoring 15 of the game's first 17 points. But the Phoenix chipped away, taking the lead for good with Anthony's Brown's 3-pointer to make it 29-28 with 5:48 left before the break and closed out the half with a 15-2 run. Jamar Hurdle's dunk midway through the second half made it 57-46 and Green Bay held a double-digit advantage the rest of the way.
Andre Yates paced Cleveland State with 16 points.
