RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — The latest on the criminal case against the man who bought the assault rifles used in the San Bernardino attack (all times local):

The man who bought the guns used in the San Bernardino attack has pleaded not guilty to federal charges.
Enrique Marquez Jr. appeared briefly Wednesday in federal court in Riverside, California, to answer to a five-count indictment alleging he conspired to provide material support to terrorists.
With his hands and feet shackled, the 24-year-old Marquez answered "not guilty" when asked for his plea.
A jury trial was set for Feb. 23. He faces 50 years behind bars if convicted.
Marquez was friends with Syed Rizwan Farook, one of the husband-and-wife attackers who killed 14 people and wounded 22 others on Dec. 2. The couple was later killed in a shootout with authorities.
