INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has announced that he's given coach Chuck Pagano a four-year contract extension, ending speculation that he would be fired this week. Pagano guided the Colts to 11-5 records in each of his first three seasons and reached the 2014 AFC title game. But several injuries led to an 8-8 record this season, one game behind the AFC South-champion Houston Texans.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Perry Ellis had 27 points and 13 rebounds as the top-ranked Kansas Jayhawks outlasted No. 2 Oklahoma 109-106 in triple-overtime. Devonte (deh-VAHN'-tay) Graham provided 20 points, including the go-ahead free throw in the third overtime. Wayne Selden's 21 points helped Kansas improve to 13-1 this season. Buddy Hield (HEE'-ulh) poured in a career-high 46 points for Oklahoma but he made two crucial turnovers in the final extra session and missed a potential tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

UNDATED (AP) — Sixth-ranked North Carolina earned an easy win at Florida State on Monday, but the fourth-ranked Virginia Cavaliers were upset at Virginia Tech. Brice Johnson became the first player in North Carolina team history to produce at least 30 points and 20 rebounds in the same game, finishing with 39 points and 23 boards to lead the sixth-ranked Tar Heels to a 106-90 win over the Seminoles. The Hokies stunned fourth-ranked Virginia 70-68 as Zach LeDay scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and blocked a potential game-tying shot in the closing seconds.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Golden State Warriors improved to an NBA-best 32-2 by knocking off Charlotte 111-101 in Oakland. Stephen (STEH'-fehn) Curry and Klay Thompson each scored 30 points and delivered 11 of Golden State's 15 3-pointers. The Warriors shot 44 percent from beyond the arc, with Thompson hitting 6 of 11 and Curry making 5 of 10.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Ish Smith had 21 points and 11 assists in Philadelphia's 109-99 triumph over Minnesota. The 76ers are 3-3 since acquiring Smith from New Orleans on Dec. 24 after opening the season 1-30. Richaun Holmes added 17 points to the victory.
