LA Clippers assign F Branden Dawson to D-League againptd

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Clippers have assigned forward Branden Dawson to the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA's D-League.

It's his third D-League stint and second with the Michigan team this season. Dawson played in seven games for the Drive last month, averaging 4.9 points and 4.0 rebounds.

He's played a combined 13 games for Bakersfield and Grand Rapids this season, averaging 5.5 points and 3.9 rebounds.

With the Clippers, Dawson averaged 1.0 point and 1.5 rebounds in two games.

The move was announced Sunday.
