CLEVELAND (AP) — A person familiar with the decision says the Browns have fired general manager Ray Farmer following two losing seasons.

Farmer, promoted by owner Jimmy Haslam in 2014, was relieved Sunday after the Browns lost at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the move.

Browns coach Mike Pettine is also expected to be dismissed after going 10-22 in two seasons.

Farmer's drafts doomed him. He selected quarterback Johnny Manziel and cornerback Justin Gilbert in the first round last year, but both have been major disappointments. Manziel has shown some progress in his two seasons, but continues to be a distraction. Gilbert spent most of the season inactive on game days.

Farmer was suspended by the NFL for the first four games this season for texting to the sideline during 2014 games.
