ONTARIO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a murder-suicide at a Southern California cemetery has left three people dead.

Ontario police Sgt. Jeff Higbee said a man with a handgun went to Bellevue Memorial Park on Saturday to wait for family members who were going there to visit a gravesite.

Higbee said the man approached three relatives as they got out of their car and shot a man and a woman before turning the gun on himself. An elderly woman who was with the victims was not harmed.

Higbee said the deceased, who were related by marriage, were in their 60s. Their names were not released.

A man who lives near the cemetery told the Ontario Daily Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1OrNPGq) that he heard 20 shots before police arrived to the scene.

Detectives are still working on a motive.
