LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Mariya Moore scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, with eight assists to help the Louisville women beat No. 15 Florida State 79-69 Friday in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams.
Briahanna Jackson had 15 points and four steals, Myisha Hines-Allen scored 13 with a career-high three blocked shots and Arica Carter added 11 points for Louisville (9-5), which has won six in a row.
Adut Bulgak's layup gave Florida State (10-4) a 2-0 lead about 90 seconds in, but the Seminoles scoreless for nearly six minutes — committing six turnovers during that span — and Louisville led 19-6 at the end of the first quarter.
The Cardinals scored 26 points, their second-most in a quarter this season, in the third to take a 13-point lead into the fourth.
Back-to-back 3s by Bulgak pulled the Seminoles within 66-61 with 5:36 to play, but they got no closer.
Bulgak led Florida State with 22 points.
