DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — The Miami Dolphins have placed linebackers Koa Misi and Chris McCain on the reserve-injured list, ending their seasons.

Miami re-signed linebacker James-Michael Johnson and center-guard Jacques McClendon on Tuesday, and signed guard Shelley Smith.

Johnson has 18 starts, most recently with the Chiefs in 2014. McClendon has five career starts, and Smith three. All have been with the Dolphins before.

Misi (back) and McCain (knee) were hurt in Sunday's loss at San Diego. Center Mike Pouncey (left foot) and left tackle Branden Albert (right knee) were also injured, prompting the need for reinforcements on the offensive line.

Miami (5-9) plays host to Indianapolis on Sunday.
