Suspects in a West Valley credit union robbery are all in jail after a seven-hour SWAT standoff.

Three men and a male juvenile have been booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on the suspicion of aggravated robbery. Police say the men are dangerous, and one of them was on a most-wanted list.

It all started just before 3 p.m. yesterday at Premier Services Credit Union, located near 2200 South and Redwood Road. It didn't end until close to midnight.

Twenty-year-old Jonathan Bizzle was on the Salt Lake County Metro Gang Unit's most wanted list recently and is suspected of aggravated robbery. Eighteen-year-old Corey Morrison will also be charged with aggravated robbery, as will 58-year-old George Dumas. A juvenile also faces the same charges.

Police say these men were not strangers to them, but they're not known gang members either. "[It's] not ‘quote, unquote' gang activity, but obviously they were operating a little enterprise on their own that indicates they were colluding on activities such as this," said Capt. Tom McLachlan, spokesman for the West Valley Police Department.

Yesterday, two men walked in Premier Services Credit Union with handguns and told the three workers inside to get on the floor. The workers, who didn't want to talk on camera, said the men were only inside for a couple of minutes. They reacted in the way they are trained to and handed over the money.

Meanwhile, the women say that a worker next door at Dr. Calvin's chiropractors office noticed what was going on, called 911, and then took down the license plate number of the getaway car. That description led police to a house near 3600 South and 4800 West.

Three suspects pulled up to the home in their vehicle, and police arrested them on the spot. When the officers learned other suspects were inside the home and refused to come out, they called in SWAT teams.

At one point, police thought there might also be a meth lab inside the home, so HAZMAT crews were called to the scene. The suspects still inside the home refused to come out, so officers followed procedure.

"Once we were able to obtain a search warrant hours later, we started getting movement in the residence we were surveilling. We made contact with a bullhorn, challenged them to come out. They did come out," West Valley police Capt. Steve Sandquist said.

It took seven hours, but law enforcement officers prevailed. "In reality, in a situation like that, time's your friend. It allows people to think their positions over and make a good choice," McLachlan said.

Police had also been looking for Bizzle because of a robbery and assault he might have been involved with at Bingham High School last month.
