Two Utahns finished today what's billed as "the world's toughest footrace."
Lorie Hutchinson, of Salt Lake, and Jarom Thurston, of Payson, took part in the grueling Badwater UltraMarathon. John Hollenhorst featured the pair last month training for the race.
The race goes from California's Death Valley to the summit of Mt. Whitney. It's billed as 135 miles in 130 degree weather in under 60 hours.
Hutchinson finished an impressive eighth place overall, with a time of 31 hours 17 minutes and 15 seconds. Thurston came in 68th, with a time of 33 hours and 8 minutes.
