WEST VALLEY CITY — Police responded to a man in his mid-20s who was allegedly shot Saturday evening.
Witnesses told police multiple shots were fired and a vehicle left the area at a high rate of speed, according to West Valley police Lt. Blair Barfuss.
The victim was transported to the hospital, but was alert and speaking, Barfuss said.
Investigators searched the area of 5332 W. and 4210 South — where they believe the man was shot — and located a silver Jeep that was damaged and had been shot.
Police were told the victim had walked to a residence nearby, which may be a relative's home.
The incident is still under investigation.
