NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Christavious Gill was 5 of 8 from long range for 28 points as New Orleans snapped a three-game skid, beating NAIA's Williams Baptist 83-66 on Saturday night.

Gill made 10 of 16 from the floor. Erik Thomas made 7 of 10 field goal attempts for 16 points and Nate Frye added 13 points for New Orleans (3-5).

Williams Baptist led for most of the first half and was ahead 27-19 at the 7:00 mark when Gill and Thomas made back-to-back layups and Travin Thibodeaux slammed a home a dunk that led to a 31-27 halftime lead. New Orleans started the second half with a 16-5 run to lead 47-32 with 13:10 left.

The Privateers were hot from the floor, hitting 30 of 58 (51.7 attempts. They also made 7 of 17 from beyond the arc.

Tony Jeffries had 19 points and Stanley Malcom added 15 for Williams Baptist.
