FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Max Landis matched a program record with nine 3-pointers, and scored 28 points to lead IPFW to an 85-68 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday.

Landis was 9 of 12 from beyond the arc, and is the first Mastodon to make nine 3s since Terry Collins accomplished the feat against Indianapolis in 2002.

Mo Evans added 22 points for IPFW (8-4), which has played nine of its 12 games on the road and is off to its best start since going 10-4 in 2013-14.

Chris Horton had 16 points and 15 rebounds to lead Austin Peay (4-6).

Josh Robinson made a 3-pointer and the Governors led 47-40 with 14 minutes remaining.

IPFW answered with a 24-0 run to take a 64-47 lead with 8:39 left. Landis made three 3s, and the Governors were 0 of 9 from the field with three turnovers during the stretch.
