SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A New York man has died after falling 750 feet from a cliff while visiting Utah. The San Juan County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Michael Albu fell from a cliff at Dead Horse Point State Park, a popular tourist spot overlooking the Colorado River in southern Utah. No one witnessed his fall. Park rangers found Albu's body Tuesday but weren't able to recover it until yesterday because of the rough terrain.

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A suspect who escaped from the back of a police cruiser is in custody after he surrendered to SWAT officers. The Standard-Examiner reports that Joseph Chavez was arrested yesterday after South Ogden Police found him inside a home. Chavez escaped police custody Monday by rolling down the window of the cruiser and hopping out.

ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Police say an inmate has escaped from a Nevada facility west of Cedar City. The Spectrum reports that Iron County Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old Jeremy Bryson escaped yesterday from the conservation camp in Pioche, Nevada. It's not clear whether he had access to a vehicle.

OREM, Utah (AP) — Jaden Jackson scored 23 points and Konner Frey added 22 including four free throws in the final seconds as Utah Valley beat Weber State 84-81 in double overtime last night. Joel Bolomboy led the Wildcats with 28 points and 20 rebounds.
