SALT LAKE CITY — Police are investigating exactly how a car ended up vertical, wedged between a tree and a parked car.

According to Salt Lake City police, the car drifted off the road, went through a fence and hit a parked car on Beck Street around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The impact sent the car through the air, into a yard, where it landed front end down.

Firefighters responded and carefully removed the driver from the car. They used specialized equipment to stabilize the vehicle.

Police said the driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
