MILWAUKEE (AP) — Sandy Cohen III hit six 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 24 points while Henry Ellenson scored 20 to help Marquette roll past San Jose State 80-62 Tuesday night.

Duane Wilson had 14 points and seven rebounds while Luke Fischer scored 11 and grabbed a career-high 13 boards for Marquette (7-2).

Cohen made three 3s and scored 11 points during a 13-2 run to open the game. Marquette never trailed and led by as many as 24 in the first half.

San Jose State (4-5) scored 19 of the final 24 first-half points to cut its deficit to 40-31 at halftime.

A 3-point play by Cody Schwartz pulled the Spartans within six about 30 seconds into the second half, but they got no closer.

Wilson and Traci Carter both hit 3-pointers during a 12-2 run that put the Golden Eagles up 70-53 with 4:18 to play.

Princeton Onwas led San Jose State with 15 points.
