BRUSSELS (AP) — Cutting off the money supply to extremist groups tops the agenda at a meeting of European Union finance ministers in Brussels today. France is urging its EU partners to speed up their efforts. Ministers are discussing ways to better track financial transfers, control prepaid bank cards, freeze assets and limit movements of cash and precious metals.

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) — Donald Trump is once again stirring the Republican presidential pot, calling for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States." Other GOP candidates as well as some state Republican leaders are condemning the proposal and saying it's likely unconstitutional anyway.

PARIS (AP) — Secretary of State John Kerry is weighing in today on the climate debate. Speaking to a U.N. Foundation meeting in Paris on the health of the world's oceans, Kerry mocked climate change doubters who downplay the effect of rising sea levels. He says their refusal to recognize the threat is "insane" and "insulting" to science.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new poll finds that both Democrats and Republicans are solidly in favor of naming names when it comes to political donors. The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds 78 percent in each party favor disclosure. The poll finds just 25 percent of Americans preferring government campaign financing.

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) — Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail pending his sentencing on a murder conviction in the shooting death of his girlfriend. That means he will remain under house arrest. The country's Supreme Court of Appeal convicted Pistorius of murder last Thursday, overturning a lower court's manslaughter conviction.
