France is urging its EU partners to speed up their efforts. Ministers are discussing ways to better track financial transfers, control prepaid bank cards, freeze assets and limit movements of cash and precious metals.

He says their refusal to recognize the threat is "insane" and "insulting" to science.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A new poll finds that both Democrats and Republicans are solidly in favor of naming names when it comes to political donors. The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds 78 percent in each party favor disclosure. The poll finds just 25 percent of Americans preferring government campaign financing.
PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) — Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail pending his sentencing on a murder conviction in the shooting death of his girlfriend. That means he will remain under house arrest. The country's Supreme Court of Appeal convicted Pistorius of murder last Thursday, overturning a lower court's manslaughter conviction.
