Police say the girl talked to officers at a Reno shelter for runaways and told detectives she met her alleged attacker on the Internet.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — An Associated Press analysis reveals that none of the 10 new supermarkets in Nevada landed in the designated food deserts that most need access to fresh food. The pledge four years ago to open or expand 1,500 stores in neighborhoods across the country with no supermarkets by 2016 came as part of Michelle Obama's healthy eating initiative.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Steven Peebles tied for first place in the bareback last night for his third consecutive National Finals Rodeo round victory. Peebles, from Redmond, Oregon, had an 84-point ride on Scarlet Belle to match four-time champion Kaycee Feild of Spanish Fork, Utah. Feild rode Pass the Hat.
