(KSL News) A little help from the community is just what a local family needs today after a tragedy two months ago.
Nilson Homes- and other volunteers- finished landscaping their new home in North Ogden and built a playground for the children.
The family was looking forward to moving into that new home when their car crashed on the way to Utah in May. Ryan Bennett was killed in the crash. His wife and two of his chidlren suffered serious injuries.
Jed Nilson/ Nilson Homes: "They have four young children and we felt a nice playground would be a fun distraction from everything going on."
Tonya Bennett suffered a borken leg, shoulder blade and pelvis in the car accident, but managed to make it to the home to thank volunteers.
Nilson Homes is paying the family's mortgage and utility bills for a year and is continuing to raise money to help the family with medical expenses.
