Chief, a solid football player in his own right, rubbed shoulders with Jazz Bear, KSL TV's Rod Zundel, and former NFL quarterback Scott Mitchell on June 27 at Syracuse High School in Layton for a game of flag football to help raise money for the families of fallen officers from that area.
“It was really fun to be involved in such a great cause,” Chief said.
Chief and Jazz Bear had a great time playing the game, but they had more fun entertaining the large crowd. Police officers and celebrities (including Chief, Jazz Bear and Mitchell) took on the Broadcasters from the area.
Also, on July 7, Chief led the players onto the field in a precession on his Harley on the first day of the NFL Junior Development Program at Ogden High School.
Along with handing out Blaze goodies, he signed autographs. The NFLJD camp will run through the remainder of the week.
