SANPOINT, Idaho (AP) — The city of Sandpoint will be able to trap and humanely euthanize deer on airport property.
The Bonner County Daily Bee reports (http://bit.ly/1NkbVBH) a permit from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game allows for 30 whitetail deer to be trapped on or adjacent to the airport.
Sandpoint Airport Manager Dave Schuck says about a dozen deer are on the property so often that they've become used to airplanes and the area.
All meat from the animals will be donated.
