LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Southern Nevada Health District says seven salmonella cases in Nevada, including four in Clark County, may be tied to an outbreak related to cucumbers that has sickened 285 people in 27 states and killed a California woman.

The Las Vegas Sun reports (http://bit.ly/1JV4EWK ) that Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce of San Diego on Friday recalled its "Limited Edition" brand cucumbers, which are imported from Mexico. The company says none of its other produce has been affected by the recall.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration are investigating the outbreak.

Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps. Illness typically lasts four to seven days, but infections can be severe and sometimes fatal.
