MARLBORO, Vt. (AP) — Marlboro College is planning a series of events this week to welcome a new president to the campus in Vermont.
Kevin Quigley comes to the liberal arts school after serving as the Peace Corps' country director in Thailand and president and CEO of the corps' global alumni organization.
Quigley, who becomes the ninth president at the school, moved to the southern Vermont campus July 1. He succeeds Ellen McCulloch-Lovell who stepped down in June.
Quigley has degrees from Swarthmore College, the National University of Ireland, Columbia University, and Georgetown University. He has been a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow at 12 liberal arts colleges, and a faculty-practitioner teaching about international studies and management.
The school is holding events Friday and Saturday ahead of Quigley's formal inauguration on Sunday.
