LEBANON, N.H. (AP) — Officials say the chief innovation officer at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center has left his position as it prepares to expand its use of electronic records.
The Valley News reports (http://bit.ly/1XG18qh ) medical center spokesman Rick Adams confirmed the resignation of Terry Carroll, but declined to give a reason.
Carroll's departure comes as Dartmouth-Hitchcock works to expand its 4-year-old effort to use electronic records to reduce costs and streamline the flow of information inside its medical care system. He was in charge of digitalizing and networking the medical records system and other information management technologies.
Next month, the center aims to start using a software package, Epic Systems, to operate its billing and scheduling systems and medical records at its Concord community medical group.
Adams says Carroll's departure won't affect the upcoming technology changeover.
