NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have claimed former Denver Broncos inside linebacker Steve Johnson and ex-Chicago Bears outside linebacker David Bass off waivers.
The Titans also placed running back David Cobb on injured reserve-designated to return. Cobb will be eligible to practice after six weeks and will be eligible to play in games after eight weeks.
The Titans waived linebackers Justin Staples and Jonathan Massaquoi and tight end Chase Coffman to make room for Johnson, Bass and running back Terrance West, who was acquired from Cleveland in a trade.
The Titans also signed guard/tackle Will Poehls, guard Josue Matias, receivers Tre McBride and Rico Richardson, running back David Fluellen, tight end Tevin Westbrook and safety Josh Aubrey to their practice squad.
