POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A Blackfoot man has been sentenced to 17 months of time already served for assaulting a federal officer at the Fort Hall Correctional Center.
The Idaho State Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1Kzc31q ) that Dude Galloway was sentenced in U.S. District Court last week.
U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson says the judge also ordered Galloway to serve three years of supervised release.
Galloway pleaded guilty in March.
According to the plea agreement, Galloway was arrested by Fort Hall police in March 2014 on a warrant and was taken to the correctional center. While officers tried to get him to change into jail-issued clothing, he struck one in the face.
The Fort Hall corrections and police officers were considered "federal officers."
