DENVER (AP) — San Francisco Giants catcher Hector Sanchez will miss the rest of the season after suffering a left hamstring strain and left ankle sprain.

Sanchez was hurt Saturday night while trying to beat out a sacrifice bunt in the fourth inning of a 7-3 Giants' win. He was forced to leave the game after the injury, limping off the field while leaning on a trainer for support.

In other injury-related moves, the Giants announced catcher Andrew Susac, who has played through right wrist soreness for much of the season, has been placed on the 60-day disabled list. Susac was sent back to San Francisco on Friday to have a ligament in his right wrist looked at by the Giants' hand specialist.
