WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — Police in West Valley City say a woman out walking her dog has died after being hit by a pickup truck.
KSL-TV in Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/1LddVHv) that the incident happened at Redwood Road and 3390 South on Saturday night.
Police spokesman Dalan Taylor says the woman had almost completely crossed Redwood Road when she was struck.
Taylor says several witnesses called 911 and administered CPR to her.
But paramedics pronounced her dead.
Her dog was unharmed and taken into police custody.
Taylor says the driver remained at the scene.
Police have not released the woman's identity.
